The Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve was the first biosphere reserve in India established in the year 1986. It is located in the Western Ghats and includes 2 of the 10 biogeographical provinces of India. Wide ranges of ecosystems and species diversity are found in this region. સિંધુ ખીણની સંસ્કૃતિ દુનિયાની ચાર પ્રાચીન સંસ્કૃતિઓ -ઇજીપ્ત, મેસોપોટેમિયા, ચીન અને આપણી સિંધુ ખીણની સંસ્કૃતિ  અથવા સિંધુ સંસ્કૃતિ.  આ બધી પ્રાચીન સંસ્કૃતિઓમાં સૌથી મોટી સિંધુ સંસ્કૃતિ હતી. આ વસાહતની લિપિ, ત્યાં રહેનારા લોકો, એમની ભાષા, ધર્મ  વગેરે. આ વિષેના ગહન સંશોધન અને અન્ય પુરાવાઓને અભાવે તે એક રહસ્ય છે. આર્ય લોકોના ઉદયનો વિષય ઘણો વિવાદાસ્પદ છે. સ્ટેફન નૅપ, ડેવિડ ફ્રૉલી અને ઘણા ભારતીય વિદ્વાનોનું માનવું છે કે આર્ય લોકો અને સંસ્કૃત ભાષા ભારતમાં બહારના દેશોમાંથી આવ્યાં નથી. જયારે મૅક્સ મુલર, બેન્ડર, લવીન, ગુફરોવ વગેરે મોટા ભાગના સંશોધકોનું  માનવું છે કે આર્ય લોકો આશરે ઈસ પૂર્વે ૧૫૦૦માં   મધ્ય એશિયામાંથી   (આજે  જ્યાં કિર્ગીઝસ્તાન, કઝાખસ્તાન, તુર્કમેનિસ્તાન. ઉઝબેકિસ્તાન વગેરે દેશો આવેલા છે) આવ્યા હતા.  સિંધુ સંસ્કૃતિ  અને એની લિપિનો અસ્ત થયા બાદ આશરે ૧૫૦૦ વર્ષ પછી આશરે ઈ.સ. પૂર્વે ૩૦૦માં ભારતમાં બ્રાહ્મીનો ઉદય ભારતમાં થયેલો જણાય છે, જેમાંથી દેવનાગરી લિપિનો ઉદય થયેલો છે તેથી બ્રાહ્મી લિપિ  સિંધુ સંસ્કૃતિની લિપિમાંથી ઉદય પામી હોય એ શક્ય લાગતું નથી.  આ બધી લિપિઓ અને સિંધુ સંસ્કૃતિની લિ
